It’s clear that this is DJI rebranding itself to continue selling in the United States. However, their marketing for the DJI Mini 4K is quite misleading. Consumers have long been asking for features like active tracking and waypoint modes. Despite multiple claims from Specta and even Copilot stating that this drone can do these things, it simply cannot. It lacks both active tracking and waypoint modes.
Additionally, I frequently encounter server errors when trying to update the firmware—99% of the time, it fails. The gimbal camera’s tilting is jittery, and the horizon is never steady. If you think you’re saving money with this drone and will get the same quality as the DJI 4K, you are mistaken. There are many bugs to fix here. I recommend avoiding this product for now until they address these issues. There are plenty of alternatives available. While DJI sets the gold standard, I suggest considering better quality drones from other brands, such as the Potensic Atom (not SE). Alternatively, you might want to stick with the DJI 4K and take your chances with the upcoming legislation.
I’m not interested in any smoke and mirrors—this is a DJI product at its core. The interface, software, and operation are all the same. A horse is a horse, and in this case, a snake is just a horse. Avoid this drone for now.

I won’t delve too deeply into this drone. For hardware performance, just look up the DJI 4k Mini and consider it a Mini 2SE clone. The real problem lies in the warranty support, which is almost non-existent other than vague email responses. Their products are firmware locked, preventing the use of any DJI accessories or batteries. I’ve contacted Specta multiple times via email, and their support is inconsistent at best. Their prices seem to fluctuate, likely due to poor market reception. Honestly, I’d recommend waiting for a sale on a DJI product instead of opting for this one.
Update: The implementation of the fly safe system is lacking, so if you live near restricted zones (like red or blue zones), I would definitely avoid this drone. You may find yourself unable to get it off the ground, as the unlock prompts often loop—sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn’t.
