While the app is necessary for viewing and storing photos and videos—since the controller lacks a screen and neither the drone nor the controller has a memory card slot—most functions can be managed via the controller, which features a straightforward push-to-start mechanism. There’s a button for takeoff and landing, and even my 9-year-old was able to fly it without any issues. She even managed to execute flips using the dedicated button, although this feature seems to work best within the first 5-7 minutes of flight.
